Homesite 94 Construction Progress

Our newest residents are a step closer to making Retreat home! The Holland’s, of Conyers, GA, chose a perfect site nestled adjacent to a cove along West Point Lake to build their retirement home. The Holland’s are working with local Lagrange builder Sykes Smith to build their home.  The picture below was taken this morning, June 13th.

If building a custom home has always been a dream of yours, there may not be a better time to start than now. Retreat’s design guidelines help walk you thru the design process and is a tool to help inspire architectural creativity. After securing the perfect homesite, Retreat property owners select an architect and builder of their choice to design and build their home, whether an intimate cottage getaway or gracious family estate.

I recently visited an architect who had a sign in his office that resonated with me. It read:

Good Reasons to Build a House Now:

  • Construction Labor Costs Down (way down)
  • Material Costs Down
  • Architectural/Engineering Fees Down
  • Shorter Design & Construction Schedules (time is money)
  • No time like the Present (planning on living forever?)

Architecture is a Measure of Your Legacy – what does yours say about you?
