July 4th 27th Sweet Land of Liberty Parade for Youth sponsored by the Junior Service League. Young people 19 and younger are welcome to participate for free and may decorate floats, wagons, bikes and the like. The first place prize is $200, and second and third place monetary prizes will be given as well. Children may register at the Mike Daniel Recreation Center at 1220 Lafayette Parkway to enter the parade. Those who register by June 24 will receive a free T-shirt.
